We respect your right to privacy and complete control over your personal data on Borrow Nearby.
Permanent Action Notice
Deleting your account permanently erases your profile, active listings, past booking history, handover verification images, and authentication tokens. This action cannot be reversed.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: In-App Deletion (Instant)
You can immediately erase your account and associated records directly inside the mobile app:
- Open the Borrow Nearby app on iOS or Android.
- Navigate to the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the prompt. Your data and active session will be permanently erased immediately.
Option 2: Email Request
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot access your phone, email our support team directly:
Please include your registered phone number. We process manual deletion requests within 48 hours.
What Happens After Deletion?
- Your public profile, phone number, name, and avatar are immediately removed from production databases.
- All active and paused item listings are unpublished from neighborhood search results.
- Handover verification photographs and chat histories are permanently deleted.
- Anonymized aggregate records required for tax and financial regulatory compliance are retained in accordance with statutory requirements.
